In Post to Post I will look around the NHL and analyze the go-ons. Like Fresh Ice Cuts, a section dedicated to the Flyers latest, I will have short sections for each headline. So lets go Post to Post and around the NHL.
Stanley Cup Comebacks?
Last season the Flyers pulled their way back from a 3-0 deficit and won the ECSF to become only the third team in NHL history to do so. This year two teams will try to pull off the task in the first round. The Yotes have been completely outplayed and outworked but have found themselves in every game despite losing the first three. Now they face a 3-0 series starring them in the face. Game 4 is tonight.
The Blackhawks sent a message through the NHL last night defeating the Canucks 7-2 on home ice with their back against the wall. But the only team not surprised may be the Canucks. Vancouver may have not given their all knowing how hard Chicago would play and now have a chance to dominate and clinch on home ice. Nonetheless, a great win on Madison Ave by the Hawks.
Battle of the Pacific
The Sharks and Kings are going at it in the Golden State. I had predicted a San Jose sweep against the injury bugged Kings, but the Kings have shown why they won't go away. The Kings stole a shutout in the Sharks Tank on Saturday and almost blew out the division rival last night.
The Sharks were resilient and fought back from being down 4-0 and ended up grabbing the W in overtime for the second time this tourney. The series is currently 2-1 SJS and could be a ways from over.
Turning Points
The Predators, Flyers, Penguins, and Capitals all hold a 2-1 series lead over their opponents and all will enter their fourth game with a chance to either run or fall. A win equals a huge 3-1 lead, a loss and you find yourself in a tie. All these teams play tonight, get you remote ready!
