3/26/11: Flyers Isles Notes

New York Islanders (5th in the Atlantic)
at
Philadelphia Flyers (1st in Atlantic and East)
7:00pm EST on CSN Philly

Storylines

Streaking vs Stalling
The Flyers have been shooting themselves in the foot lately losing three of their last four games in the shootout after watching a late lead disappear each time. However the Flyers are 4-0-0 versus their division foes this season and have had a great load of success against them in recent seasons.

Young Guns
The Isles have a load of young talent and they are coming along swimmingly. The former 1st overall pick of 2008 John Taveras heads on of the youngest team in the league. The Isles leading scorer oddly enough was picked up off waivers during the offseason, Michael Grabner leads the team with 31 goals, making him 13th in the league.

Projected Lines
JVR Richards Versteeg
Nodl Carter Giroux
Leino Briere Hartnell
Powe Betts Carcillo

Carle Coburn
Boynton O'Donnell
Meszaros Timonen

Bobrovsky Boucher

Who to Watch
Dipietro - He is back from getting punched in the face by Brent Johnson in February and is ready to try to continue his comeback. He may let in a bad goal but the offense will have to step up

Bobrovsky - A goalie battle or maybe a battle of who offense can produce. Bob has a chance to bury this young team and earn the teams first..
