Kings Situation if Gags is their Future

The Kings have over 17 million dollars of cap space. Kovi will likely cost them upwards of 8M if he signs there. There only remaining RFA is Brad Richardson who's 24 and shouldnt cost them 1.5M at most.

The Kings lost 2 veteran Dmen in Jones and O'Donnell and have 6 dmen signed right now, they might need another. Average Dman cost around 2M.

So that's around 11.5M left and Gagne will cost them 5.25, plenty of room.

I don't think the Kings will be looking to move one of their wingers. They only have 4 - Williams , Simmonds, Parse and Brown. Kovi and Gags would only make 6.

Goaltending is an area where some moves could come from. The Kings have Quick locked as their starter and Ersberg as their possible backup. With Martin Jones and Zaktoff in their system. Bernier is expandable here.

No word if Gags will be traded at all but that's a good analysis of the Kings situation
