During Monday's practice at the Voorhees Flyers Skatezone Jody Shelley took a puck to the eye. Reports say he left the ice very agitated and later it was found out that he had suffered a broken orbital bone in his cheek. Surgery will be required and the Flyers will be without their lead boxer for atleast four weeks. Now the Flyers IR welcomes another, currently holding Ian Laperriere (PCS), Chris Pronger (Hand Surgery), and now Jody Shelley.
Sometime in the next few days I will examine the argument for and against the thought that visors should be being made mandatory by the league. Until then I am sending my wishes to Jody Shelley on a speedy recovery and as always thanks for reading!
