Unlikely Scorers Spell Trouble

The out burst of unlikely scorers on Chicago's side through the first 2 game of the Finals is showing they're firing on all cylinders. But is also very reminiscent of the first 3 game versus Boston.

In game 1 Boston's fourth line center Steve Begin tallied their first goal, this was also his 1st of the playoffs. In game 2 it was Johnny Boychuk who got his 2nd of the playoffs, but he is known for being a defensive defensman. Game 3 it was Blake Wheeler, who was ice cold through the playoffs, who got two goals.
In Game 1 Troy Brouwer a 22 goal scorer in the regular season was slumping with only 2 goals going into the Finals, however he scored 2 big ones. Tomas Kopecky the last minute insert scored the game winner to top out a definate outta nowhere performance on Saturday. In Game 2 it was Ben Eager who scored the Game winner, a guy who coming in had no goals, might not have known hockey was played with a puck. Three guys that Chicago didn't expect, they're now expecting on.

Boston expected on the all-around goal scoring from top to bottom in their order, but once their hot streak ran out they could only count on their top guys which could not step up. The same thing very well could happen to the Chicago Blackhawks, the depth scoring could go away and everything will rest on those top two lines.
The Flyers top line got a goal on Monday night, which is more than Chicago's line has done all series. And the Flyers second line has been argueably their best line in the playoffs. Chicago has been able to rely on their top line and bottom lines to carry them through the playoffs. However if they hit a road block their top two lines aren't confident producing at what the team will need to win some bleeders.

This is something to look out for as the series turns to Philadelphia. Game 3 Wednesday at 8pm est. on Versus.
