Blackhawks won both home games to take a commanding 2 Game Series lead.
Game1: 6-5 Chicago
Game2: 2-1 Chicago
Game3: Wednesday Night
Chicago's won both high scoring and low scoring games in this series. Laviolette commented on that saying it is "Frustrating" and "Annoying." However Captain Mike Richards said that this series is much like the Conference Semi-Finals versus Boston. Game 3 may be the most pivitol game in the series and defiantly for the Flyers how want to avoid trying to battle back from 3-0 down, again.
-Chicago-
Niemi has been solid when given a chance to shut down a 1 goal lead late and has let up 1 goal in the 3rd periods of games 1 and 2.
Andrew Ladd will be scratched again tonight as Quenneville will ride the hot-hand in Tomas Kopecky, he's to play with David Bolland and Kris Versteeg.
Toews, Kane and Big Bluff were shut down once again in game 2 and are a combined -7 in the series.
Chicago has 7 straight wins and a NHL record tying 8 straight road wins enter Wednesday night's Game 3.
-Philadelphia-
Leighton came into the Finals as the hottest goalie, but after letting up 5 goals in 2 1/2 periods he was pulled. He rebound very well in Game 2 but gave up 2 back to back goals late in the 2nd. Leighton has not lost a game at Home in the Playoffs. Losing only 2 at the Wach all season.
Carcillo made an appearence on Richards and Carter's line in Game 2. Gagne and Carcillo were switched mid 2nd and Gagne was the first of the Top Liners from either team to score.
Bartulis also had a great game, he finished a -1 but played a lot better than that connecting on many long passes and shutting down Hawks star winger Marian Hossa.
Players to Watch:
Chicago:
Jonathan Toews, watch out if the playoffs top scorer gets going.
Brent Sopel, his shot blocking has been a difference maker versus Flyers top scorers.
Philadelphia:
Chris Pronger, his mighty slapshot could offer a game changer.
Michael Leighton he provided 2 shutouts in the Flyers first 2 home games last series, and as mentioned earlier he shines at home.
