Draft Day Runner


The Philadelphia Flyers were thought to have set this date to be their busiest. Plenty of rumors and players on the table around the league. Running blog live though Day 1 of the NHL Draft in Los Angeles.

No moves so far with Homer and Clarke.
Word is that Flyers have talked to La Kings' GM Dean Lombarti and Calgary Flames GM Daryll Sutter. Kings own 2 goalies in Bernier and Quick who are both NHL ready.

Hamhuis to Pens?

Flyers have been talking to Pens GM Ray Shero off and on all night. Was said earlier this week that Pens have interest in Cobi. But with Hamhuis unsigned questions arise.

Saying Pens want the rights Hamhuis. Gonchar's still unsigned for next season.

Talks between Shero and Homer about Hamhuis are dead, for the time being. Coburn could still be a topic.

Flyers-Sharks

Homer has been busy and just got done talking to San Jose's GM Wilson. Sharks lost Blake to retirement this offseason. Nabokov is set to be a UFA July 1st.

Flyers and Sharks talking over the rights of soon to be UFA goalie Evgeni Nabokov. Sharks also have the 28th overall pick, just a sidenote.

All ends at 11:02. Flyers look to be attempting to deal with Sharks for Nabi and Pens as well.
